Toei Games, the video game division of legendary Japanese production company Toei Company, will make its first appearance at a gaming expo outside Japan during the Busan Indie Connect Festival 2026 (BIC 2026). The event takes place from August 14 to 16 in the city of Busan, South Korea. The company will offer playable demos of three titles at its booth: KILLA, DEBUG NEPHEMEE, and HINO.
Global expansion strategy and debut at BIC 2026
The presence at the South Korean event marks the beginning of a new phase for the studio's interactive arm. Fumio Yoshimura, President and CEO of Toei Company, confirmed the international debut as a decisive step to strengthen the brand in the global video game market.
BIC stands as the largest festival focused on the indie ecosystem across Asia. In 2026, the organizers adopted the slogan "Buff Your Indie Spirit," symbolizing the union between independent developers' creativity and the gaming community's engagement. Toei Games aims to connect with international fans, local press, and industry partners to boost its new franchises.

The main highlight of the booth is KILLA, a title developed by an independent South Korean team of just four members. Festival visitors will test the latest version of the project directly at the expo.
