Developer Ironmace has launched Season 10 of the Early Access for Dark and Darker, bringing a flood of heavy new features for those seeking to survive the most dangerous dungeons in gaming.
The main highlight of the update is the expansion of the The Firedeep map. The environment has undergone a complete overhaul in its structure and pathways, demanding unprecedented strategies from teams attempting to escape alive with their loot.
Magma Wyvern Promises to Annihilate Unsuspecting Players
To make expeditions even more intense, Ironmace has introduced the Magma Wyvern. This monster is a revamped version of the old dragon that inhabited the Ice Abyss, now imbued with terrifying fire powers and devastating mechanics.
Facing this creature requires impeccable movement. Additionally, the Wizard, Cleric, and Rogue classes have received new abilities, spells, and perks to try and balance the confrontation against the new underworld threats.
Community-Created Artifacts and Free Rewards
The new season also includes entirely new legendary items. Some of these relics came directly from a contest held with the players themselves, reinforcing the partnership between the studio and the community.
The update also brought significant improvements to the game's audio, adding distressing sound effects when a character is near death and much more realistic noises when landing critical hits on enemies' heads.
